What is your first jewellery?
What is your emotional connection with jewellery?
Something sweet silver ring from your high school boyfriend?
Or classy pearl necklace from your grandmother?
Even little pendant you bought from your first wages.
My first jewellery is little pink ruby ring.
Looks like the picture above.
My mum gave it to me when I was 19 years old.
It was originally her ring, but it did not fit her finger anymore.
Little pink ruby in the centre and 2 tiny diamond on the side in platinum setting
My mum told me she bought this ring when she has got paid at her work.
Really really first-time wages in her life.
So, she bought the jewellery to remember the day.
She was so excited when she got this ring and wore this every day.
I also loved this ring and wore this every day.
And time past, this ring does not fit my finger anymore.
I have returned this ring to my mum and she gave it to my little sister.
But my sister is not the type of person to wear this ring.
So the little pink ruby ring is returned to my mother’s jewellery box.
Sitting with all her other jewellery.
I am thinking when I go back to my parent’s home in Japan next time (I am not sure when) I could snatch the ring again and hoping to fit into my pinkie finger.
This is the story of my little pink ruby ring.
