Japanese born Kumi Inoue, founder of Kirei Sydney.
Kumi came to Australia as working holiday maker over 20 years ago. She started to work one of the exclusive jewellery store at Queen Victoria building Sydney. It was her first experience that involved in jewellery and she was fascinated by all different gemstones. Since then Kumi experienced all different roles in jewellery industry from store manager to jewellery buyer.
During her career Kumi studied gemmology and diamond technology at Gemmological association Australia.
Kumi also has a creative mind and loved art even she was a child. She started to draw and designing clothing when she was in primary school.
In 2015 Kumi started to design her own jewellery as a hobby. Something unique. Something different. Because she could not find anything she likes in the store. When she wore her own designed jewellery , people started to complement how different it is.
On 2017 She started to collaborate with jewellers of all different nationality to create unique jewellery.
Kirei Sydney was born on 2019.
Kirei Sydney jewellery is hand crafted or selected by Kumi’s experienced eye.
